fortune 500 companies with csr or social responsibility related blogs
Since the launch of dotherightthing in January 2007, watching the world’s companies react to the power of consumers online (and offline) has been interesting to say the least. Over the last two years, the degree of business transparency has changed rapidly. These changes have disrupted all traditional modes of corporate communications, forged new relationships that connect people with companies in new ways and, as a result, increased the demand for corporate transparency.
But like any revolution, this is only the beginning of what will soon become a full-fledged dialogue between people and the companies that impact their lives. Inspired by this trend I wanted to compile a list of Fortune 500 companies that have devoted any portion of their traditional communications channels to corporate social responsibility or social transparency. There exist other lists that have tried to or still track Fortune 500 blogs in general; this list is dedicated instead to all the other blogs about social responsibility in particular.
For the most part, these blogs are used like traditional corporate communication tools in that they don’t really encourage true dialogue.
